6 more days!

Its almost my birfday!!!! That's how I say it! I will be 28!!! I really did not want to turn 27 because I was unmarried and all my friends were getting married. I was also the last one in our family to get married besides my cousin who is 13.

Anyway since that birfday I got married and love it!!! Now I don't mind turning 28 and I am excited. My first birfday as a wife.

My husband won't tell me what he got me for my birfday!!!!

I also love that my birthday is around the 4th of July that I get three days to celebrate. Especially since this weekend is a three day weekend. No work on my birfday!!


Now honey fix the boat so we can go to the lake for my birfday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Singing Office Hosts,

I would like to send a letter out to the hosts of The Singing Office Joey Fatone and Mel B(Scary Spice). I have seen the previews for the new show on TLC and I would love for you to come to my office.

Our office would be a great candidate! We have an office of about 25 women and one man.

Just to let you know I have the moves. I can dance like Saturday Night Fever. My singing may need some work but I can read music. I am a great student!!!

Please come because my office is so boring. It needs something to get it out its funk.

Maybe I just need it. If I have to go to work for another mundane day, I will scream. I need some disco hustlin', electric slide, I will Survive, macarena fun!!!

OCD

I found this note at this blog. But this is what my husband would do. He can not stand to have unused minutes on the microwave. I asked him if he wrote this note, but his job doesn't have microwaves.

When I used to live with my aunt, we would always leave unused time on the microwave. Everytime my husband (boyfriend at the time) came over to visit, he would have to push clear on the microwave. It drove him absolutely crazy.

Husband: There were 2 seconds left on the microwave? You couldn't wait two seconds?

Me: It sounded like it was burning?

Husband: (Throws his hands up in disguist)

But I have an OCD about not drinking diet coke out of McDonald's cups, so we can't all be perfect.

Happy Birthday Hubby!!!!

Today is my husband's birthday!!!! I just want to tell him how much I love and adore him. These past 2 years have been unbelievable. I can not wait to spend 100 more years together. You have made me so happy!!

I am glad that for the next 13 days I am not a cradle robber. We are the same age. Then I turn 28.

Hopefully your birthday was everything you wanted it to be! I know I let you have your presents a day earlier, but you would not have gotten to play with them today becuase of work.

New Dress!

Ok I am going to a wedding next weekend and its at a hoity toity (not sure on the spelling) country club. Its Michael's side of the family. My side of the family doesn't do that. Anyway we are going to this wedding and the bride's step father is a prominent judge in our town.

Funny story: This lady I used to work with, lets call her hoochie, cause that's what she was. Anyway Hoochie used to think that she knew all about this prominent judge and they were best friends. When he was retiring his last day of work she wanted to go see him, so she could say congrats and show me she knew him. Crazy I know! So I had never met him before this, but he knows my husband(this was before we were married.) My husband and his stepchildren are cousins.

So Hoochie finds him and we are in a hallway behind the courtrooms where judges hang out. And she is saying how a great judge he was and how she is going to miss him. She almost starts crying about it and prominent judge is looking like "Who is this woman and why is she crying?"

So then she introduces me and I tell him who my boyfriend is. The prominent judge starts talking to me and ignoring her and telling me he loves my boyfriend and how he is such a good guy and on and on. After he says that the hoochie says I'm a good girl too. Awkward moment! The prominent judge and I are looking at each other with fake smiles, not knowing what to say. It was crazy!!! Finally we left and hopefully he only thought she was crazy and I was her co-worker. I don't remember how this conversation ended but it was awkward.

I have not talked to this judge since then, except at our wedding. He left his umbrella in the room where we were hanging out waiting for people to leave so we could take pictures. I happened to be standing near the door and when he knocked and opened the door. He wanted his umbrella and I handed it him. Me in my wedding gown acting like a coat check person. Nice! I didn't even get a tip!

So the whole reason of this post was to show off this dress I bought today from express. It was over half off the price.

5 Months Today!!!!!!

My husband and I have been married for 5 months. I know it seems like a long time and most couples don't make it this far. But we made it!!!!

We are still in love and still happy to see each other. Things may change next month but right now I love him!!!!! I will always love him. He makes me absolutely happy. He is the funniest man I know. He is also the sexiest. Brad Pitt's got nothing on my baby!

Its 8:30 at night and he is in the bed. He is tired. His birthday is on Monday so lots of celebrating this weekend.

We are currently planning separate vacations because he doesn't want to go to Alabama to see our new nephew or niece, so my best friend is going with me. He is going to Las Vegas with his best friend. He is only going for 3 days and I am going for a whole week. I don't want to go to Vegas.

Oh funny thing, I bought his birthday present from a store called the Dancer. I can't tell you what I bought cause he reads this. But he looked at the bank account.

This was the conversation.

Husband: Come look at this on the bank account.

Me: What?

Husband: Who bought something from the dancer for 45 dollars.

Me: Its for your birthday.

Husband: Oh (smile on his face.)

Me: No its not a dancer, what kind of ghetto girl would I get for 45 dollars.

Ok so that might not have been that funny but to me it was.

This Girl Rocks

Ok this girl actually won this contest that she entered with this song. I spent all last night watching all her videos. She is amazing. Her name is Julia Nunes and within one year she has gone from being a high school to opening with Ben Folds or as I like to call them Ben Folds Five. Anyway she is super talented. Her name is Julia Nunes and you have to go to youtube and see the rest of her videos. Seriously! She was cracking me up!

The best thing I saw on the way home.

So today I am driving home from eating dinner with my husband. We drove in different cars to dinner because we just got off work. We love to eat and can't wait to get home, so we meet for dinner. Anyway back to what I saw.

I am driving down a big highway and there is a SUV pulled over and there is a man in the back passenger seat on the right of the car. I see a booster seat by his feet and then I see two little legs coming out of the side of him.

He had stopped on a major highway to spank his kid. He was holding the kid up by his arm and using the other arm to spank him.

That kid must have done something realy bad.

When I was little my mom or dad could just turn around and swat my knees and we were done annoying them. But to actually stop, pull your kid out, and spank him while holding him. That kid must have really done it.

I say this is the best thing because there are so many parents out there that do time out and they wonder why they act like wild children.

Some kids need it, I know I did. If I didn't then I probably wouldn't be this well-behaved.

However if this was not his kid or he was beating him in plain sight, then that is completely wrong.

Baby Shower

Yesterday I threw a baby shower for my sister in law. She is due in September and lives in Alabama. My brother and her came in for the week and this was the only time I could do the shower. My husband let me borrow a camera, so I actually have pictures!


This is the mobile I made out of my chandelier.


I bought this jar just for the baby shower and everyone loved it. Its just regular country time lemonade and rubber duckies!



My mom made this for the party. It turned out great except we couldn't find the melon ballers. They ended up being in the car that I checked but didn't see.



These took literally 2 days to make. But in the end they were worth every bite. I got the recipe from here. They did not turn out like I had hoped but it was definitely worth the effort. I would do them again it just would have to be way in the future.



I also made these. It was really simple. They are pacifers made out of lifesavers, royal icing, and lemonheads.



All in all it was a great time! Everyone loved the set up and I wish I had taken more pictures. I love throwing parties and can't wait til I can do it again.

This video is disturbing! If I ever did this to my mom, I would not be here! I can't believe that this parent would allow this. This is way more than Dr. Phil can handle.

Busy!!

Too busy to blog!!! I have been shopping and cleaning to get ready for the baby shower(well really shopping!!) When it is finally over I will put up pretty pictures and funny stories. Pray for me to get through this week!

Baby Shower!!!

Ok I am planning a baby shower for my SIL. I love to plan parties and make list. I love having all the attention on me. Well really it will be on my SIL, but its my house so people have to be nice to me.

Here is what I have to get done in 6 days.

*Finish cleaning the house(started yesterday but really just let the roomba run and did laundry)

*buy the rest of the ingredients(today I bought the watermelon, meatballs, and crackers.)

*buy decorations(I bought the lemonade thingy but I need plates, cups, cute baby stuff.)

*make cake balls(from this great website and a almost a two day process, hope I get it right)

*finish decorating my house(ie getting my husband to hang pictures)


Oh and everything has to be yellow or green because they are not finding out what the sex is going to be.

If there any pregnant people out there that don't want to find out you're stupid. Really they only sell pink and blue things. There is really like one yellow outfit that maybe a boy could wear if you weren't leaving the house. I know that cause I have looked.


Really when I get pregnant I am going to find out so everyone can get me pink or blue. But don't worry, I don't want to ruin my body yet or not have a life anymore. But there are great moms out there that love their kids and could not be happier, maybe my maternal instincts haven't kicked in yet.

I might not even have kids but that is a another whole blog on why I might not want kids.

My husband is a farmer, and while I knew that while we were dating, I did not know the extent of it. Here is what it means: My husband works his full time job for 10 hours and then after he is done he goes to the farm for another 4 or 5 hours. He loves to farm!

I love the passion that he has for his work! I love that he loves to provide for his family by farming the land! I love him and all he does. I know this is just the beginning of farming. I can make that sacrifice because its what he loves.

But its long nights for me without him. Especially today because he is usually home on saturdays. It was fun the first night because I got to watch all my reality shows. But today I have to clean the house and I don't want to.

America's Best Dance crew is on and it looks a whole lot better than cleaning this house.



Oh and we are going to the melting pot tonight in Raleigh! I have never been there but I am excited. I love to eat!

Reality TV

My husband hates reality TV!

With that said, there is a lot of reality tv on this summer. And I love reality TV. I do not have kids to talk about so I will talk about TV.

The Mole


I loved this show when it was on a few years ago, and then they cancelled. But before they cancelled it, they did a celebrity edition. Nothing is better than Kathy Griffin and the cute guy from The Princess Diaries.

Ok this is bad but I can't help it. Its like a car wreck and I can't stop looking at it. This next show is new and am in the midst of watching the second episode right now.

The kids are cute, and the parents crack me up. I think Kate is really like most stay at home moms who are great with their kids and tells their husband what to do. Sometimes Jon doesn't have a backbone but sometimes he does.

The best thing about this is DVR. I can watch the shows I want to when he is at work or on saturdays. He is farming today so I get to get caught up.

Political Matters!

Now I usually don't care about politics and I really don't know that much about it. Just to let people know I am a republican. A staunch republican. So much a republican that I want this bumper sticker:



I know that it is the nicest thing but its true! I know some one who can get that sticker for me. I might be rear ended by someone on welfare, but I am willing to take that chance! I also have insurance! Ha ha!

Anyway I am for nobama 08 all though I think he could win. I also think that this change that he wants could be bad for america. This is just my opinion.

I got a little more sunburned today. My mother in law has a pool and I can't stay away from it. I love swimming and especially with my niece and nephews.
