Vacation All I ever wanted!

Here is a shocker for everyone:

My husband and I have taken separate vacations since we have been married. Now we went on our honeymoon together, and our one year anniversary. But those are the only two vacations that have lasted longer than a weekend.

Here is the skinny:

Michael loves to go to Las Vegas, and he goes to a few conventions a year. He always begs me to go, but I can't/won't. I really hate to fly, and I really don't like to gamble. Those is really the only vacation he has taken without me.

But in September I went to see my brother, sister-in-law, and new baby in Alabama. I drove the whole way with my BFF Angela. It is like a 12 hour drive from my house. Michael did not want to go.

I don't want to make that trip again!

So this summer I am trying to take a week off in the summer with Michael, but I want to go to the beach. Michael is not too fond of the beach. So he might go for a couple days, and my BFF Angela will stay with me the rest of the week.

I love my husband very much, and sometimes you need time apart! You need that time to yourself that you don't have to pick up after the other person. Absence makes the heart grow fonder!

One day I might go to Las Vegas, but I would never stop my husband from going because I am a whiny nagging wife.

My mom stays with me, because I am too chicken to stay by myself! That's a whole other story!

Weekend Fun and Drama!

I really love hanging out with all my girl friends, and getting together to celebrate one of their last night before they get married! I went to Myrtle Beach this past weekend for just that reason! My friend Kelly is getting married in a about 4 weeks, and she invited me to come along to the festivities.

But it was a drama filled weekend to say the least. I went down with 3 of my closest friends, and the other girls(who I did not know at all, and will call the Stormy weather girls) went down early to check into the hotel and go shopping. The stormy weather girls were supposed to check in, so that we got down to the beach we would have a place to put our stuff.

Do you think that happened?

No, when we got down there at 4:30, we called the SWG(stormy weather girls, I'm lazy) and they said that they were still shopping and could not leave yet. All my girls did not want to go shopping because we were going shopping on Sunday not saturday. Anyway so we have no place to put our stuff, so we decide to go to the beach. We get everything out to the beach, and the SWG call us and say we checked in. We got to the see the beach for an hour.

So we finally show up at the hotel at around 6:30, and we all walk into the townhouse that they rented, and not one single SWG even looked up at us. They did not say Hey, how are you, what's up? Now I know that I did not know any of these girls, but common courtesy says to welcome people when they come in the door. Plus I am shy you have to talk to me first!

So my girls and drop our stuff in the Foyer, and walk right back out on to the porch. At this point Kelly the bachelorette was not at the hotel, and she would have probably made this better. We all had big attitudes, and we were thinking about leaving and finding our own hotel. It was unneccesary drama! But Kelly showed up and we made it better. Some of the SWG ended up being pretty cool. We had fun, and I am not allowed to blog about what happened the rest of the night. Bride's Secret!

On Sunday I came home to my husband, and we decided that we should go get something to eat. I was super tired, so I wanted something fast. We are slowly turning into old people because we wanted to go to K&W Cafeteria. Its a restaurant in the south where essentially like a cafeteria. No one really under 60 except for us is there.

Now I am in line and I have my tray filled with all my goodies to eat. I am the next person to the register, and my husband is behind me. I have this conversation with the guy in the register before me.

Cashier: Is she with you? (pointing to me)

Guy in front of me talking to the cashier: No, but if she wants to pay for it, I will let her.

Me: Laugh awkwardly. (At this point in the conversation, I am rubbing my belly because I am hungry, and my shirt is soft)

Guy in front of me: Well now you look hungry, and the way you are rubbing your belly I would say you are pregnant!

Me: Ummm No. more awkward laugh.

At this point the cashier, the drink guy, and my husband all have their eyes wide open, because they can't believe that guy asked me that question. Now I have a complex! I have a little muffin top, but it is no where in the category of she might be pregnant or she just might be fat!

I need to stop rubbing my belly when I am about to eat! I just love food!

Another Random post

I love meatball subs, and nothing replaces the meatball subs that I had in Pennsylvania at Wawas! Now Wawas is a gas station that happens to serve subs, but listen when I tell you they are AWESOME!

Anyway I have not lived in PA in over 4 years, and I yearn for these subs daily!

Well I went to my local fancy grocery store(harris teeter) and they sell hot subs!! They sell hot meatball subs!! They are almost exactly like the subs from Wawa, except they are not toasted.

I am ashamed to admit I had one yesterday and today! I got my hubby into it too! He also had them twice in a row!!

I might get one tomorrow!

Yesterday I watched a movie on HBO called Grey Gardens, and I fell in love with it! It is actually a true story about a mother and daughter who were related to Jackie Kennedy, and they were recluses in the Hamptons, NY. There was two brothers who did a documentary on these ladies in the house, that was now filthy. Well HBO made a movie about the documentary starring Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange. It was great! Check it out!

On a side note, I could totally be a recluse! I mean just sit around doing my own thing, and never leave the house. It sounds great! I think for about a week I could handle it. I am not sure I could handle having 100 cats around or the nastiness. But I could lay in the bed for a week and not do nothing!

I finally got recuperated from this weekend with the kids. Now I have a bachelorette party to go to this weekend, and hopefully I can keep up with the girls.

I am getting old!

Well

Its been a long weekend. I never thought that it would end! My BFF Angela was here, and that was great!

But then we got our niece and nephew on Saturday night!

Which I love really!!

I love my niece and nephew like they were my own children.

What I don't like is:

  • waking up at 6 am to wide awake kids!
  • crying over not being able to sit beside one cousin.
  • accidentally mention baking cookies with niece, and then not doing them. (we ran out of time). You would have thought it would kill her!
  • having a child's knee in your back while you are trying to sleep.
  • watching the same movie before you go to bed and when you wake up.
  • I really thought I was ready to be a parent, but I have no energy!! I don't know how parents do it! I know it is different when you have your own, but it is scary!! It is such an eye opener!

I don't want to complain because I do love my nieces and nephews, but its hard work. I am not sure I have the energy!!

    Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

I have always wanted to say that!

Because I actually won something off the computer!!

    ((((((((Flashback))))))))))))))))

Last Thursday night I was playing around with my computer, and I noticed a lot more tweets than usual on my twitter page. Well I followed the links and found this!! Now I wish I could go on a Twittering Cruise! I told my husband about it, and he is not too crazy about being near the Equator in August.

I would love it though! So if anyone wants to drive down to Miami(cause I don't fly) and go on a cruise with me? That would be awesome! Its only like a 14 hour trip in the car to Miami from my house. That is not too bad? right?

Anyway back to my story, a bunch of these ladies were twittering about the cruise and asking questions and giving away prizes. I just happened to answer one of the questions right and before anyone else!

They had really cool prizes like trips to Mexico, mommy stuff, homeschooling stuff. I did not win any of those. What I did win was $25.00 gift certificate for an online course from Leaders in Virtual Studies. I love me some online courses! I was estactic!

    (((((((((((((Flashback over))))))))))))))))))))))))

So today I get an email saying that I have to blog about my winnings. There are over a 100 courses to choose from, so I am not sure which one I want to pick. I could go for the blogging course, learn piano(would have to get piano), web developing, or photography.

    New Distractions!

    So......I got a Nintendo DSi!!!!

    Taha Pictures, Images and Photos

It was supposed to be a birthday present, but we kept "walking" by them when we were out shopping.

My friends, Jody and Sarah Livingston, showed me theirs, and it was FUN!!! and ADDICTING!!

My husband was also looking for something while he goes on trips. He loves me so much that he wants me happy all the time.

He said he was going to get me one for my birthday, but since that is not til July, I got it early.

    I love my husband!!!

Is there any other good games out there for the Nintendo DS?

    Saturday, April 4, 2009

This is as random as it gets.

Why is the TV land showing the movie Patriot Games? I thought that it just showed old TV shows?

Why is Tina Fey so not funny, but Amy Poehler totally and unbelievably hilarious? I mean aren't they like best friends, and maybe Tina would learn from her? But Tina is winning awards? Side note: 30 Rock is a funny show, but only because of Tracy Morgan and Kenneth the Page.

How come every time I grow my hair out long I want to cut it, and every time I cut it short, I want it long?

Do all men think the same things? Sports, sex, food? In that order?

How many times should you brush your teeth? I brush once a day, and my hubby brushes twice a day. He does not go to the dentist and I do! Also who flosses? I have never seen my husband floss, and I don't. My dental assistant flosses my teeth for me. I feel like its a spa day.

My BFF dyed my hair a dark brown but she missed one spot on the front of my hair. Its a blond spot ON THE FRONT OF MY HAIR!! I look at it every day, and I want to take a black sharpie to it, you know because they make other sharpie colors now.

I need cute dresses for showers, weddings, and parties this summer. I really can't find anything that either makes me look like Hannah Montana or Laura Ingalls.

I think I am ready to get pregnant, but my husband is not. But every day I change my mind about whether I am ready, yet my husband stays the same.

I look at Facebook every day, just to see if anyone said or threw anything at me.

I am the most lamest person you don't know, unless you know me, then you know I am lame.

And by reading this post you know now.

    Decisions, Decisions!

Well I have not made a decision on which dress I am going to wear, but I love all the suggestions. I am definitely going to try those dresses on that you guys liked. I liked the first one, but it is all up in the air!

The first weekend of May is when we go try on dresses. I will tell you then!

Today was April Fools Day and I pulled the best prank ever!!
I texted all my friends a picture of an ultrasound

6 week Ultrasound Pictures, Images and Photos

and told them we just got back from the doctor!
I sent one to my hubby and he was the first to call me back!!
Why would I send the father of my child a text message telling him he was the father of my child. (facepalm)
But I did get a lot of excited messages back saying:
    Congrats!
    Call Me!
    I am so excited!
Then I texted and said April Fools!
and I got a lot of messages saying:
    You Stink!
    Not Cool!
    Darn You got me!
    LOL Butthole!
I thought it was hilarious, and if you could see me in my office I had tears rolling down my face!! I was laughing so hard!!! Michael thought it was funny too, and was sending them to his friends!
But the funny thing is what if I was pregnant? Then no one would believe me!!!
I will have to think up something better for next year!
