I know.

I know.

Its been a long time.

I am not sure on the exact date, because I use Windows Live writer to write my blogs.

I had a great streak going where I wrote 2 nights in a row, but I ran out of steam.

  • I have been taking a cake decorating class.  Its fun but I realized that I have no craftiness in me.  But I think I will still keep taking course 2.  I love having something to do, and motivates me to cook food in the house!
  • I had some family drama that I couldn’t talk about on my blog.  My other problem with this  blog is that I really can’t be honest.
  • I still love my husband, and he is completely amazing in every way!!  He truly completes me.
  • Sorry for all the gushy mushy, but I love him!

Thanks for checking up on me Kristina!

Thanksgiving

I know it seems like a long way away, but I really just want to get out of town for Thanksgiving.  Just my hubby and I.  This past year we have had so much family drama, (my side) that we really don't care to spend the holiday with anyone.

Don't get me wrong, Hubby and I love our family but we want to get away.

I want to go to the beach, and hubby wants the mountains.

We get free rooms in the mountains, but we have been there 3 times this year.  I have only been to the beach twice this year, and neither of those times included my husband.  I have a great deal at a resort at the beach, also.

I don't know which one to choose!

The problem with the mountains is that you are a million miles away from anything other than the hotel.  So any Black Friday Shopping we will have to drive far away to enjoy.

The problem with the beach is that my husband hates it.  He also hates shopping.

Mountains: 5 and half hours from our house.

Beach: 1 and half hours from our house.

Which would you choose?

My Knight in Shining Armor

I have lived in my house with my husband for almost 2 years, and in those 2 years I have been Mrs.. Scaredy Cat when it comes my imaginations of someone trying to break into my home.  If I try to go to sleep without the TV on, I hear all kinds of noises that sound like murderers, robbers, and thugs.  I go to the bathroom window and check to see if anyone is in our driveway a couple times a night.  My husband, on the other hand, is not scared to go to sleep at night.  The noises never bother him unless I wake him up because I heard a noise.

~~Flashback time~~

A few months before I moved into the house, someone came by and kicked in the front door.  My husband had a security system but it was not linked to the police.  As soon as these punks heard the alarm they left.  So I figure they were school kids or stupid construction workers.  These people have never been caught to our knowledge.

So my husband installed security cameras, and linked the alarm to the police.

~~Flashback over~~

So basically we live at Fort Knox, and since I have lived there we have not had any problems. until last week.

Last Saturday night, my hubby and I were going to bed around 10:00.  We are both awake watching college football.  All our lights are out except for the TV.

My hubby hears a noise(which I don't hear surprisingly), and goes to the bathroom to look out the window.   He says that there is a car in our driveway.  I start to freak out, because we don't get visitors especially at 10:00 at night.  My husband grabs the gun and I watch from the front window.

All the sudden from the window I see this guy walking(YES, walking) back to his car.  I see my husband running out the front door yelling at the punk to get @#&!@ out of the yard.  My husband fires a warning shot.  The guy jumps in his car, while my husband is firing another warning shot.  The car reverses all the way out of our driveway and down the street so we don't see his license number.   I am pretty sure that punk peed his pants.

Now I am freaking out, and I can't go outside because I have my on my nightgown.  I don't know what to do whether I should call the cops.  My husband finally comes back in, and he is pretty shaken up.  He has never had to fire the gun in that circumstances.  We go down to look at the security tape, and see this punk going through my husbands truck looking for something to steal.  The punk tries my car but its locked.  Its too dark to see anything on the camera other than the punk going through the truck.  We don't think he found anything to steal in the truck.

But  we were pretty shaken up that night, so we went to sleep at his mothers, plus I was worried that guy would come back.

Since that day my husband is the one hearing the noises and getting freaked out. I am now sleeping like a baby, because I saw how my husband protected this house.  I know that no one is getting into our house without a fight.  He is my knight in shining armor.

What is this? House week?

Our little (I mean really little) dream house

My husband and I were driving along and randomly talking about different things. The subject came up about what our perfect house would be if we did not have kids. We live in a 2300 square foot house, and my husband bought it because he knew it would be perfect for us. Now we feel like if we decide not to have children the type of house we would like to have based on our lives.

The setup of our house now is we have a great room (living room, kitchen, and dining area all together), 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 laundry room.

We only live in one side of our house, so we can eliminate the 3 other bedrooms. We can also eliminate the dining area, because we might have used it 5 times in the past 2 and a half years. My hubby did not even have a dining room table until we had been married 4 months.

We can really eliminate the kitchen because I don’t cook that often, and neither does my husband.

We can also get rid of the other 2 bathrooms. I think it may have been a couple of times that we used the bathrooms at the same time. Everyone knows boys can go pee outside.

So hubby and I only need a living room, bedroom and bathroom. We don’t need a jacuzzi tub or double sinks. We might need a little bigger shower though.

I hate doing laundry, and we could save a ton of money from the above house. So I figure I can just buy clothes for the week, then give them away to charity and buy new ones.

I am no longer wise.

I had my wisdom teeth out today.

Yes. Today.

I actually feel pretty good.  I came home from the surgery, and slept for a couple hours.  I have laid around today eating my fill of mashed potatoes and Wendy’s frosties.  My husband has been my male nurse(murse) all day!  I made him wear a white dress and everything!

IMG_1282

I had my surgery at 10:30, and this was actually taken about 4 hours after.  I know I look really cute with my ice pack holder.

I hope this is the worse of the pain, because I read some many horror stories that I scared myself.  The nurse that gave me my sleepy drug was super sweet and calmed my nerves.  When I woke up in recovery I started crying and saying I want my husband, which actually sounded like: uhh wausnt muuyy hsuussbadddnd.  But the nurse told me I could not see him til I calmed down.  I was thinking I will calm down when I see my husband.

He put me to bed, gave me medicine, fed me a frostie, and let me go to sleep!  I worried the whole time for nothing.

I hope its like this when I have babies!

2nd Chance Prom

I know I have been absent lately. again.

We went to a Second Chance prom sponsored by a local radio station.  We had the best time.

See Examples:

If the pictures don’t prove it, we had a blast.  We were supposed to go with my friend and her fiancé, but since that whole thing happened, she took a friend.

I also am getting my wisdom teeth out.  I don’t want to, but I have been having persistent headaches due to my teeth.

Oh yeah, that is Salt and Pepa and we Pushed it. Pushed it good!

Never having them at all!

This weekend was a lazy weekend, where I could watch TV, clean house, go out to eat, cook dinner, and do whatever else I wanted.

I had heard about this show on Discovery called “Freebirthing”, and I was intrigued because I like the show “I Didn’t know I was pregnant”, even though it is the scariest thing in the world.

Until now.

Let me give you the premise of “Freebirthing.”  It is where ordinary women decide to forgo doctors, midwives, medicine, and have the babies at home. unassisted. I saw the first lady have a baby with her 2 year old son watching from the end of the bed, while her one leg was thrown up in the air, and a head coming through!  Which I thought was pretty gross.  So I pushed Record, so my husband could see it later.  I did not watch the rest of it.

Until Later.

With my husband, and we are never having kids.  The second woman having a baby unassisted was way grosser.  She was buck naked, and in the doggy style position with her helper behind her.  She was screaming and making awful noises, THEN all of the sudden you hear this loud gush of liquid, and baby falls flat on the ground!!!!!!

That sound made me almost throw up.

Then I called my mother and asked if that really happened.  She said it does, but the pain goes away as soon as the baby comes out.  She had me at the hospital, naturally.  I am the youngest.

I told her I was not giving her grandchildren.

Although now I think it would be better if I didn’t know I was pregnant, so I would not have 9 months to think about it.

I am scarred for life.

2 Days

Ok.

2 blog posts in a week.  It is getting crazy up here!!  But I loved all the comments that you guys left about the wedding.

Seriously there is nothing else to the story.  My husband has tried to get some information since he still talks to him, but he won’t give him a reason for not EVER talking to her again.

But you know how boys are, they either don’t ask the right questions, or they don’t care.

In other news, my husband is turning into the Mr. Wilson* of the neighborhood.  We live in a neighborhood that is out in the country.  We have a four wheeler problem.  Adults and kids ride their four wheelers all day long.

Hubby always says “If you own a four wheeler, you own the road,” whatever that means.  But the kids have been riding on a hill across from our house, and it drives my husband crazy.  The kids are actually causing erosion problems by riding on this hill.

But every time he sees a kid get on that hill, he runs out and yells at them.  He is too cute though!  But seriously we have a epidemic of 4 wheelers.  Our neighbors also like to shoot off fireworks at 2:00 in the morning!  But that is another story!

*If you didn’t know Mr. Wilson is from the Sunday comic Dennis the Menace.

What I did this Summer.

So I know that I have been slack this summer on blogging.  I do have lots of funny and sad things that have happened this summer. So I am giving you the reader's digest of this summer.

Wedding Woes:

  • Remember back in March when I did the bridesmaid dress bracket.  You guys did such a good job at picking out a dress, that I did NOT even go with any of your suggestions.  Funny, huh?  Well I guess I should have because after I bought my dress, the wedding got cancelled.  Anyone want a Latte size 10 bridesmaid dress?
  • So the wedding got cancelled because the groom stopped talking to the bride.  He went on a cruise, and when he came back he never talked to her again.  They had been arguing but nothing huge.  She has not heard a word since June from him.  He is best friends with my husband, so that means I still have to see him.
  • The good thing out of this is that now the bride and I are way better friends than before the wedding got cancelled.
  • Another side note; they dated for FIVE years!!!

Wedding and Casinos:

  • My husband was a groomsman for another wedding this summer along with the above guy.  I had to spend the weekend with the no call groom.
  • Fun times!

IMG_1092

  • Hubby and I decided to go to Cherokee for a little vacation.  We had a free room at Harrah's since my husband has a gambling problem.
  • It was seriously the nicest room that I have ever stayed in.  When we came back to our room to go to bed, they had white robes and cookies laid out for us!
  • We also brought back triple the money that we took to the casino!!! Yay!

My niece's 1st Birthday:

  • My sweet niece is turning 1 on Thursday, so we had her party here for her.  She is the sweetest child.  There was not a single meltdown.
  • She has been walking for a month and a half already.

IMG_1143

  • But she will not feed herself.  Its really cute that she will go to anybody who is eating and we just feed her.  She is like a cute little dog!

2nd Chance Prom:

  • The local radio station has an annual 2nd chance prom that they put on for the local community.  This event is in 2 weeks!
  • We were going to go with the couple that cancelled their wedding, but now only the girl is coming.  She invited a friend.
  • The music group that they hired for the prom is...wait for it......

Salt and Pepa!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I couldn’t find a picture, so imagine it)

  • I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!  It brings me back all the way to middle school with songs like Shoop, Push it, and What a man!!

  • Plus, I have always wanted to go to the prom with my husband!

Other than that we got nothing else!  I will make sure to put some pics up from our 2nd chance prom.

I Suck

I really do.

I have not wrote a single blog post since July 14th, and I am usually pretty good about keeping up.  I have just been lazy.  I have had a few things happen while I have been lazy.

My grandma had her 80th birthday party a couple of weeks ago, and the whole family came down for it.  I saw a lot of family that I had not seen in a good 10 years!!  There was a few people that I had saw that I have never met.

I need to show you photographic evidence first before I tell you what a person with Alzheimer's said to me.

6611_1151217551015_1544910429_30663347_3778873_n

This is me with my cutie patootie niece!  That is the birthday girl in the back giving me the crazy eyes.

Anyway this dress looks really bad on me, and I did not realize til I got to the party, where the following conversation took place:

Gma (grandma): AL, this is my granddaughter Melissa.

Me:  Nice to meet you!

AL (Alzheimer's lady): (pats my belly)  Aww your pregnant!!!!

Me: Umm No ma’am.

AL: Oh well you are just a little chubby!!

Me: say nothing but just walk away and go cry in the corner to my momma.

Then I told my brother and my cousin what she said and they laughed at me.  Then the rest of the family found out, and then I could not enjoy 2 pieces with cake without someone saying: You really need to be eating that!

So that was a fun party.

But then I see that picture and I say well I kind of do look pregnant!!

But before you get mad because I called her Alzheimer's patient, she also thought my uncle was a dentist but in reality his name is Dennis.

Vacation Recap

Original Huh?

This was the month of the vacation that I have not had since last September.  I had 10 glorious days off, and I enjoyed every stinking minute of it.  My vacation was wonderfully divided into 3 parts

Part 1:

I went to the mountains with my family on my mom's side.  I love this side of the family, and do not let any tell you that there is not an A family (my mom's) and a B side(my dads).  Because there is!  So I got to hang out with my cousins, friends, and family for 48 hours.

We did this:

rafting Fun?  I am the one in the back looking directly at the camera.  I could have done without the helmet, because it makes my head look huge!

It was fun except my uncle kept trying to push us out of the boat when we were going over a rapid!!  A class 4 rapid!!  If you don't know how rapids work, then let me tell you that 5 is the highest it can go!!!!  We were on a 4!!!

I was scared and may have peed a little.

Part 2:

After I was home for 1.2 seconds, my friend Angela and I went to the beach.  We had 3 days in the nicest hotel that we could afford, and had a couples massage.  Now before you throw out the lesbian comments, she is my best friend.  I have seen her naked before, as she me.  But the massage was out of this world.  I normally don't care for massages, but I have definitely changed my mind.

We layed out all those three days, and seriously it could not have been any hotter.  It was so hot we would come back to the room take a 2 hour nap, and then still go to bed at 11:00 pm.  We were lame but it was our vacation, and we could do what we wanted!

beachgirls

Part 3:

I came home and did nothing.  It was wonderful and boring all at the same time.  I got caught up on General Hospital, and still watching on Soapnet when I get home.  We celebrated 4th of July with friends and family, and watched awesome fireworks.

My birthday landed on the last day of my vacation.  My husband gave me wonderful gifts, such as Krispy Kreme doughnuts, going to mall with me while I browse and not buy nothing, and taking me to Moe's for a Joey Jr.

It was wonderful.  I hated to go back to work.

Vacation Ramdomness

Since I have been on vacation this week, I have been doing lots of tanning at the beach, rafting, and watching TV.  My husband has been at work, so I have been able to catch up on my stories.  Really mostly General Hospital.  It is so funny how you can just jump back into it.  I need to start DVRing it, or watching the recaps on Soapnet.  Here are a few other shows that I have been watching, that really make me sick.

  • NYC Prep:  Seriously if I wanted to watch preprubescent kids make out, and drink beer, I would go to the local football game on Friday night.  Underage drinking is illegal in all 50 states, and the fact that they show the kids going to the clubs and restaurants ordering alcoholic drinks. It is sick.  Now teen kids want to be like them
  • 16 and Pregnant:  This show also makes me want to throw up.  I think it glorifies how awesome it is to be pregnant.  Kids watch these shows, and they say its not so hard.  And I get on TV!

Those are the two shows that I can not stand, yet I watch them.

Vacation in 5 4 3 2 1!

My vacation is coming up and I have not had a week long vacation since last September.  I went on a road trip to see my brother, his wife, and my new niece Hannah.

                                                 IMG_0325-1

Now she is a big girl!!  I also get a vacation but not with her.

              4d94f73ce28a

My poor baby niece Hannah is in the hospital.  She started with double ear infections, and a         slight case of pneumonia.  Now she had to be admitted to the hospital because her pneumonia got   worse.  They are waiting for her fever to break.  I just want to reach out and ask everyone to say a little prayer for her.  Pray that her fever breaks and gets out of the stupid hospital.

New Blog Post just for you!

I am trying out my live writer again, while I watch Wipeout that I recorded from last night.    That show is seriously the funniest thing in the world, yes funnier than Jon and Kate plus 8.  Actually Jon and Kate plus alternating weekends is about to lose its viewership.

I have heard rumors that they were making a big announcement on Monday night.  I am sure it will be we are making so much money, that we don’t need to practice family values.

If your kids are important to you, then you get out of the spotlight, fix your marriage, and love on your kids.  The kids don’t care if they are at the beach or at home.

I was trying to be funny about it, but its really sad.

It is sadder than Britney Spears saying “I’m sad” on her redemption show.

Another person got hit with the sweeper on Wipeout!

My husband has been working late for which seems like forever, because he is a farmer.  In reality it has only been 3 weeks.

But I miss him, and that makes me sad!  But he is done for now with farming, so its me and him against the world.

This is Awesome!

I had heard how Windows Live Writer was a little better than using blogger, and it is!!!  This is really a test post.  I will be back sometime this week with better stories and how to get great tickets.

Ok I had to take the picture off, because I did not want no one to see my bed.  If you saw it, forgive me!

Its been a long time!

I know that it has been forever, but nothing worthwhile was going on.
Until NOW!
Does anyone know who this is?

Dierks Bentley!

Yes we are this close to him. We bought tickets for the Brad Paisley / Dierks Bentley concert on the day of the concert, and happen to get front row seats!!! We could not believe our luck!

We are in front where the stage juts out from the original stage!

I was amazed with our view and then this happened!

Yes that is Dierks Bently holding my hand, and Ladies he is just as good looking in real life! Maybe Hotter! Although he is looking at my hubby for some strange reason.

Oh and here is Brad Paisley
I have never been so close in any concert, and it is definitely better up front!

In another post I will tell you the secret!

Just this one

Ok I know that I said I didn't have anything for you, but I found this great youtube clip that cracked me up.

Mullet with Headlights, that is all I am going to say.

I had to watch the rest of these on youtube. There goes my day!

I got nothing for ya.

My mind is blank and my life is boring.

Maybe I will have some inspiration from this weekend.

I doubt it.

Celebrity Comments

I got a celebrity comment, I got a celebrity comment!!

Now whether he is a d-list celebrity or an A-list celebrity, I am not sure.

But here is the comment:

Ryan Mayberry has left a new comment on your post "Dear Jon and Kate":
Hey... I randomly came across your country boy/city girl blog because I was searching to see if my song showed up in search results. It's called "Country Boy Met a City Girl" - you two might like it. It's on my myspace at http://myspace.com/ryanmayberrymusic

Now I know you are like who is Ryan Mayberry? I had the same question. I googled his name, and found out that he won the reality game show with 50 cent. But it actually got cancelled before the end.

So what does that make him? I listened to the song, and well its not the best I have ever heard, but it was not awful.

But he is the most famous person to comment on my blog!

Dear Jon and Kate

Jon and Kate Pictures, Images and Photos

I am really saddened by the news that both Jon and Kate are allegedly are having affairs on each other. Are they so encompassed by fame that they have forgotten the original meaning of Jon and Kate plus 8? What happened to just videotaping the kids doing funny stuff. I don't know the true story or what is really going on, but something is.

Frankly I am not surprised.
I am a fan of the show, because I think the kids are cute, and Jon is funny.
But Kate is a whole other story.

The way that she talks to her husband on almost every occasion that they are together is just really disgusting. It makes me cringe, because that is no way to talk to your husband. I have never talk to my husband with that malicious tone, and make him feel like the worst person in the world.
But I know wives who do. and they think its ok. But that is only because their husbands let them. My husband is the person that I look to with the most respect and love.
Yes he may make bad decisions, and I may yell at him.
But sometimes I make bad decisions and he yells at me.
In the end we apologize to each other. I have never once seen Kate or Jon apologize to each other. Maybe I missed that episode.
I have only been married a year and a half, and I am no relationship expert. But I treat my husband with kindness and love most of the time. Sometimes I forget how great he is.
We have a great relationship.
When I see wives treat their husbands like crap, I just want to kiss, hug, and love my husband even more. I know that if I do that he will never leave me for a 23 year old.

It's a new day!

Today I went to throw my trash away from breakfast, and there was a trash bag in the trash!!
Today was trash day!!!!!!!
My Hubby put a trash bag in!!!!
I will reward him accordingly!!!
I mean I am not trying to change my husband on who he is, because well he is not a dog. But I love the fact that he did something so little, and it made my day!!
In other news, I went to the dentist this week to fix a temporary filling to a permanent one. I know this is not normally big news, but I did not get any dental work done. I had my face numbed, so numb in fact that I could not shut my left eye! I had no control over my eye! Who knew when your eye is numb it doesn't shut.
I literally flipped out!!!
I mean my left eye would not shut!! That was after the two shots of anesthesia that did not work! Then she decided to add another huge shot that hurt going in. But here is the best part, she had to take it back out, because she put it in the wrong spot!!!!! So I had 4 shots!!
So my eye wouldn't shut, and the dentist comes back in.
Dentist: Wow! Well I am not going to give you another shot because I am not sure how it will affect you.
Me: YOU THINK? (I said that in my mind, but I am sure my good eye was giving her the look!)
I can handle the dentist, and I don't mind the shots. But this is the first time I actually cried after I left the dentist. I mean my right eye cried, because my left eye just stayed open.
I have another appointment on Monday to fix the filling, and then I have a cleaning on Thursday.
My nightmare is not over. yet.

This made me laugh!

I see the resemblance! I got this off of TMZ! I hope they don't mind.

I use to love that movie The Dark Crystal. It was made with puppets, and I can not remember the plot line for anything. It probably had to do with finding the crystal.

------------------------------------

I went to a beautiful outdoor wedding this weekend. I have known this girl since she was 10 years old! It made me feel really old! Her father passed away about 4 to 5 years ago, and she was walked down the aisle by her uncle. The song that she walked down was Dance with my Father by Luther Vandross. I could not hold my tears back, but it does not take much to do that lately.

I also got to spend time with BFF Angela, which is always a treat!

Trash Talk

My husband and I are having an argument, and I need sound advice that I am right!
On Sundays and Thursdays, My hubby takes the trash out to his truck, so that he can take it to his mom's so the trash man can come and take the trash. Get that? He has to go to his mom's anyway to drop Annabell (our dog) off, and to find out what he has to do for work. He owns his own company with his dad, so he needs to find out the business.
Now when he takes the trash out, he does NOT put a new trash bag in! So when I get up a couple hours later, I fix my breakfast and go to throw away my trash.
There is no trash bag!!!!! It drives me insane!!!! I fall for it every time!! So usually I leave it my trash on the side until I get home and change it, because I am always in a rush!
Not anymore!!! Its Friday (Friday evening), and I had a paper bag beside the trash, so I have been putting my little trash in there. I will NOT put a new trash bag in!! But neither will my husband!
He says he is too busy in the morning to bend down and open the bag. He says he has to hold the full bag, and the dog on the leash.
So we might have trash backed up to the ceiling before the weekend is over.
The good thing is though I won't be here tomorrow, so I think he will crack first. or not.
**I am the one who always puts a new bag in the trash, and I would never take out the trash and not put a new one in! I'm just saying**

Bored, Bored Boring!

This has been the most boring week imaginable!! I must be feeling sick because the last two days I have been cleaning my house when I get home from work. I usually lay around, play on the computer, and watch TV. But something has changed, and I am not sure if I like it or not. I got 2 loads of laundry done, actually put the majority of clothes in the dresser/closet, and I cleaned my kitchen up.

Now granted I have not made any dinners this week, but I still have dishes to clean up. What is up with that?

Yesterday we celebrated Cinco De Mayo, by supporting our local Mexican restaurant. No Swine Flu is going to keep me from my Mexican treats. We have one chain of Mexican restaurants with about 9 restaurants in our town, and they are graded from being Numero Uno to Numero Sucky! The Grove St location is Numero Uno, because the chips are always hot, the food always spectacular, and the salsa is perfect. The Camden St. location where we have lunch with the in-laws every Sunday is a Numero So-So, its really more about location. The only good thing about this one is they know us! They can tell you what we are drinking and probably what we are going to order. We do usually go to this Mexican restaurant about once a week, sometimes twice a week.

Anyway I am going to a wedding this weekend! I love weddings, and I especially love that I get to see old friends that I have not seen in a very very very too long time. My BFF Angela was invited, and she is taking me as her date. We both got smoking hot dresses to wear!

I also have my niece's 4th birthday party to attend! I can not believe how big she is getting! I started dating Michael when she was about 10 months old, and now she is a big girl! The theme for this birthday is Princesses and Pirates. So I have to go the birthday party, and then stay for an hour then go to the wedding! It will be a long Saturday!

Bridesmaid Dress

Well a few post ago I did a bridesmaid bracket that you can see here and here.

I went to meet up with the bride and the other girls for the bridesmaid fitting. First the saleslady has to measure all of us. But then she did not do anything with those measurements. She just wanted us to find dresses that had our color.

I pulled all the dresses that I had picked out for the bracket. But they did not really look that great. I was really disappointed, and I think I need to lose a few pounds. I think their sizes were a little off.

So this is the dress I chose, which beleive it or not was not in the bracket.

It looks a little funny on this model, but it did look alright! I tried on a size bigger, but I bought a size smaller. So I definitely have to lose a few pounds!

Vacation All I ever wanted!

Here is a shocker for everyone:

My husband and I have taken separate vacations since we have been married. Now we went on our honeymoon together, and our one year anniversary. But those are the only two vacations that have lasted longer than a weekend.

Here is the skinny:

Michael loves to go to Las Vegas, and he goes to a few conventions a year. He always begs me to go, but I can't/won't. I really hate to fly, and I really don't like to gamble. Those is really the only vacation he has taken without me.

But in September I went to see my brother, sister-in-law, and new baby in Alabama. I drove the whole way with my BFF Angela. It is like a 12 hour drive from my house. Michael did not want to go.

I don't want to make that trip again!

So this summer I am trying to take a week off in the summer with Michael, but I want to go to the beach. Michael is not too fond of the beach. So he might go for a couple days, and my BFF Angela will stay with me the rest of the week.

I love my husband very much, and sometimes you need time apart! You need that time to yourself that you don't have to pick up after the other person. Absence makes the heart grow fonder!

One day I might go to Las Vegas, but I would never stop my husband from going because I am a whiny nagging wife.

My mom stays with me, because I am too chicken to stay by myself! That's a whole other story!

Weekend Fun and Drama!

I really love hanging out with all my girl friends, and getting together to celebrate one of their last night before they get married! I went to Myrtle Beach this past weekend for just that reason! My friend Kelly is getting married in a about 4 weeks, and she invited me to come along to the festivities.

But it was a drama filled weekend to say the least. I went down with 3 of my closest friends, and the other girls(who I did not know at all, and will call the Stormy weather girls) went down early to check into the hotel and go shopping. The stormy weather girls were supposed to check in, so that we got down to the beach we would have a place to put our stuff.

Do you think that happened?

No, when we got down there at 4:30, we called the SWG(stormy weather girls, I'm lazy) and they said that they were still shopping and could not leave yet. All my girls did not want to go shopping because we were going shopping on Sunday not saturday. Anyway so we have no place to put our stuff, so we decide to go to the beach. We get everything out to the beach, and the SWG call us and say we checked in. We got to the see the beach for an hour.

So we finally show up at the hotel at around 6:30, and we all walk into the townhouse that they rented, and not one single SWG even looked up at us. They did not say Hey, how are you, what's up? Now I know that I did not know any of these girls, but common courtesy says to welcome people when they come in the door. Plus I am shy you have to talk to me first!

So my girls and drop our stuff in the Foyer, and walk right back out on to the porch. At this point Kelly the bachelorette was not at the hotel, and she would have probably made this better. We all had big attitudes, and we were thinking about leaving and finding our own hotel. It was unneccesary drama! But Kelly showed up and we made it better. Some of the SWG ended up being pretty cool. We had fun, and I am not allowed to blog about what happened the rest of the night. Bride's Secret!

On Sunday I came home to my husband, and we decided that we should go get something to eat. I was super tired, so I wanted something fast. We are slowly turning into old people because we wanted to go to K&W Cafeteria. Its a restaurant in the south where essentially like a cafeteria. No one really under 60 except for us is there.

Now I am in line and I have my tray filled with all my goodies to eat. I am the next person to the register, and my husband is behind me. I have this conversation with the guy in the register before me.

Cashier: Is she with you? (pointing to me)

Guy in front of me talking to the cashier: No, but if she wants to pay for it, I will let her.

Me: Laugh awkwardly. (At this point in the conversation, I am rubbing my belly because I am hungry, and my shirt is soft)

Guy in front of me: Well now you look hungry, and the way you are rubbing your belly I would say you are pregnant!

Me: Ummm No. more awkward laugh.

At this point the cashier, the drink guy, and my husband all have their eyes wide open, because they can't believe that guy asked me that question. Now I have a complex! I have a little muffin top, but it is no where in the category of she might be pregnant or she just might be fat!

I need to stop rubbing my belly when I am about to eat! I just love food!

Another Random post

I love meatball subs, and nothing replaces the meatball subs that I had in Pennsylvania at Wawas! Now Wawas is a gas station that happens to serve subs, but listen when I tell you they are AWESOME!

Anyway I have not lived in PA in over 4 years, and I yearn for these subs daily!

Well I went to my local fancy grocery store(harris teeter) and they sell hot subs!! They sell hot meatball subs!! They are almost exactly like the subs from Wawa, except they are not toasted.

I am ashamed to admit I had one yesterday and today! I got my hubby into it too! He also had them twice in a row!!

I might get one tomorrow!

grey Pictures, Images and Photos

Yesterday I watched a movie on HBO called Grey Gardens, and I fell in love with it! It is actually a true story about a mother and daughter who were related to Jackie Kennedy, and they were recluses in the Hamptons, NY. There was two brothers who did a documentary on these ladies in the house, that was now filthy. Well HBO made a movie about the documentary starring Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange. It was great! Check it out!

grey gardens Pictures, Images and Photos

On a side note, I could totally be a recluse! I mean just sit around doing my own thing, and never leave the house. It sounds great! I think for about a week I could handle it. I am not sure I could handle having 100 cats around or the nastiness. But I could lay in the bed for a week and not do nothing!

I finally got recuperated from this weekend with the kids. Now I have a bachelorette party to go to this weekend, and hopefully I can keep up with the girls.

I am getting old!

Well

Its been a long weekend. I never thought that it would end! My BFF Angela was here, and that was great!

But then we got our niece and nephew on Saturday night!

Which I love really!!

I love my niece and nephew like they were my own children.

What I don't like is:

  • waking up at 6 am to wide awake kids!
  • crying over not being able to sit beside one cousin.
  • accidentally mention baking cookies with niece, and then not doing them. (we ran out of time). You would have thought it would kill her!
  • having a child's knee in your back while you are trying to sleep.
  • watching the same movie before you go to bed and when you wake up.
  • I really thought I was ready to be a parent, but I have no energy!! I don't know how parents do it! I know it is different when you have your own, but it is scary!! It is such an eye opener!

I don't want to complain because I do love my nieces and nephews, but its hard work. I am not sure I have the energy!!

    Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

I have always wanted to say that!

Because I actually won something off the computer!!

    ((((((((Flashback))))))))))))))))

Last Thursday night I was playing around with my computer, and I noticed a lot more tweets than usual on my twitter page. Well I followed the links and found this!! Now I wish I could go on a Twittering Cruise! I told my husband about it, and he is not too crazy about being near the Equator in August.

I would love it though! So if anyone wants to drive down to Miami(cause I don't fly) and go on a cruise with me? That would be awesome! Its only like a 14 hour trip in the car to Miami from my house. That is not too bad? right?

Anyway back to my story, a bunch of these ladies were twittering about the cruise and asking questions and giving away prizes. I just happened to answer one of the questions right and before anyone else!

They had really cool prizes like trips to Mexico, mommy stuff, homeschooling stuff. I did not win any of those. What I did win was $25.00 gift certificate for an online course from Leaders in Virtual Studies. I love me some online courses! I was estactic!

    (((((((((((((Flashback over))))))))))))))))))))))))

So today I get an email saying that I have to blog about my winnings. There are over a 100 courses to choose from, so I am not sure which one I want to pick. I could go for the blogging course, learn piano(would have to get piano), web developing, or photography.

    New Distractions!

    So......I got a Nintendo DSi!!!!

    Taha Pictures, Images and Photos

It was supposed to be a birthday present, but we kept "walking" by them when we were out shopping.

My friends, Jody and Sarah Livingston, showed me theirs, and it was FUN!!! and ADDICTING!!

My husband was also looking for something while he goes on trips. He loves me so much that he wants me happy all the time.

He said he was going to get me one for my birthday, but since that is not til July, I got it early.

    I love my husband!!!

Is there any other good games out there for the Nintendo DS?

    Saturday, April 4, 2009

This is as random as it gets.

Why is the TV land showing the movie Patriot Games? I thought that it just showed old TV shows?

Why is Tina Fey so not funny, but Amy Poehler totally and unbelievably hilarious? I mean aren't they like best friends, and maybe Tina would learn from her? But Tina is winning awards? Side note: 30 Rock is a funny show, but only because of Tracy Morgan and Kenneth the Page.

How come every time I grow my hair out long I want to cut it, and every time I cut it short, I want it long?

Do all men think the same things? Sports, sex, food? In that order?

How many times should you brush your teeth? I brush once a day, and my hubby brushes twice a day. He does not go to the dentist and I do! Also who flosses? I have never seen my husband floss, and I don't. My dental assistant flosses my teeth for me. I feel like its a spa day.

My BFF dyed my hair a dark brown but she missed one spot on the front of my hair. Its a blond spot ON THE FRONT OF MY HAIR!! I look at it every day, and I want to take a black sharpie to it, you know because they make other sharpie colors now.

I need cute dresses for showers, weddings, and parties this summer. I really can't find anything that either makes me look like Hannah Montana or Laura Ingalls.

I think I am ready to get pregnant, but my husband is not. But every day I change my mind about whether I am ready, yet my husband stays the same.

I look at Facebook every day, just to see if anyone said or threw anything at me.

I am the most lamest person you don't know, unless you know me, then you know I am lame.

And by reading this post you know now.

    Decisions, Decisions!

Well I have not made a decision on which dress I am going to wear, but I love all the suggestions. I am definitely going to try those dresses on that you guys liked. I liked the first one, but it is all up in the air!

The first weekend of May is when we go try on dresses. I will tell you then!

Today was April Fools Day and I pulled the best prank ever!!
I texted all my friends a picture of an ultrasound

6 week Ultrasound Pictures, Images and Photos

and told them we just got back from the doctor!
I sent one to my hubby and he was the first to call me back!!
Why would I send the father of my child a text message telling him he was the father of my child. (facepalm)
But I did get a lot of excited messages back saying:
    Congrats!
    Call Me!
    I am so excited!
Then I texted and said April Fools!
and I got a lot of messages saying:
    You Stink!
    Not Cool!
    Darn You got me!
    LOL Butthole!
I thought it was hilarious, and if you could see me in my office I had tears rolling down my face!! I was laughing so hard!!! Michael thought it was funny too, and was sending them to his friends!
But the funny thing is what if I was pregnant? Then no one would believe me!!!
I will have to think up something better for next year!

    Top 3!!

First off I did this bracket completely wrong when I chose only 6 dresses instead of 8!! That shows how much I am interested in brackets. But I got my top three dresses from your votes!! I am really surprised that you guys did not go for the strapless. My BFF was the only one who went for the strapless, and that's because she knows me, and knows how good I look in strapless dresses.

I realize also after I did this that it really decides on a few factors when picking this dress

    1. How well I can shake my booty!

    2. How well my boobs looks in it!

    3. Am I going to be the hottest bridesmaid?

    4. Is this dress going to make me look like the skinniest bridesmaid?

Here is the Final 3! The third dress with the lowest score will just have to be the play in champion. But I like the ones you guys chose!

I have never had that option before and I love it!! But there are a ton of choices!!

Too many to pick, so that is why I am having a

    I stole this!

This was my Cupcake Display at my wedding. I did not have any pictures from the wedding of my great cupcake display that weren't from the Fancy Schmancy photographer.(His pictures are expensive!)
I found this picture on my cake decorator's page.
It was on her front page!!!
But the sad thing is that I never got to taste those wonderful cupcakes!!
We had another cake that was 2 tiered white cake.
I am kicking myself for not trying one! The two cakes at the top, my mother in love took one, and my mother took the other cake.
We went on our honeymoon, and did not get a single bite!
But who really eats at their wedding! I think I had a few things on my plate, and I didn't even finish that!
But I loved my Cupcake Display!! I know that cake decorator has used it in other weddings too! I saw that on her website too!
    Mine was first though!

    My legs are sweatin', Momma!

I think everyone was unanimous in the last post where I should definitely get the mechanical bull. I think my husband would think it was awesome, but I would just get tired, hence the title of my post from the movie Urban Cowboy.

This has just seemed like the longest week ever! I have been in a rut with no dieting or exercise this week. And I seriously have the most boring job ever!!! I know that we are in a recession, and I should be thankful I still have a job. But its so Boring!!!

I told my husband last night that I was ready to look for another job or have a baby. He said NO to both ideas. We want to wait until after our second anniversary to start having or talking about kids. I thought about it and he is right(for now).

So I just need to find more stuff to do at work. I think everyone else is in a hiring freeze, and since I don't want to work at McDonalds(not that its bad). I will just have to stay there.

I hope my boss doesn't read this!

    or maybe I do?

    This is my life!!!

My husband wants to BUY this:

    Should I let him?
He thinks it will be an asset to the living room.
I am thinking that he just wants to watch me ride it.
    in a bikini.
    with a cowboy hat.
while I yell Yippee Kaw Ya.
Does that scream sexy in the weirdest way (or any way)?
This bull is located about an hour away from my house.
It does not really go with my living room.
He seems really disappointed that I did not go for it.
I have seen Urban Cowboy, it never turns out good!

    Beautiful BFF!!!

This is my my very best friend Angela!

Angela and I met the summer I graduated High school, and she was going to be a junior in high school. We went to Church Camp together. But we did not end up being very best friends until a couple years later. I can not really remember the point we were best friends, but I am stoked that it did!!

She has been with me through my roughest times, and my happiest times. She was a maid of honor at my wedding. We still talk every day, well at least text.

But this is not the reason I am writing this. Angela has an amazing story, and I would love to share it. I did not ask her permission, but I don't think she will care. (I hope, I love you Angela!)

This Angela a whole year ago at my wedding.

    This is her NOW!

    She has lost 100 pounds!!

Who does that?? Oh yeah, my BFF does that!!

I have never been more proud of her!! She has struggled for so long, and I have watched as her life has completely changed. Her whole outlook on life has changed!! It has been for the better! She still plans on losing more, but to get this far is amazing!!

Now she just needs to find a man!!(JK I love you Angela!)

Edited to Add: She did all this from DIET & EXERCISE! NOTHIING ELSE!

    Funky Meme!!

Now this is a meme that I normally would not do, but I just felt compelled. This is from The Scattered Mind of a Tattoo minivan mom and she has very interesting questions. I have major writers block because nothing extremely cool happens in our life.

    1. Have you ever skipped school? Oh my gosh, I can not believe I graduated high school as much as I skipped. It was at least once every two weeks!!

    2. What is your favorite naughty word? Butthead, I don't cuss unless I am really really mad, which is almost never.

    3. Have you ever been arrested? No not even close.

    4. Do you and your spouse have a code that you use when you want sex? No but sometimes when I least expect it, he will be randomly naked. I just stop what I am doing.

    5. Do you have special names for....ahem...you know, either cute ones that you have your kids use or nasty ones that you and your spouse use? no, we use the right terms. and we do not have kids.

    6. How many drinks does it take to get you sloshed? I would assume 3 or 4.

    7. Do you always wash your hands after you go potty or are you one of those gross people who comes out of the toilet in a public restroom and fixes their hair then leaves without washing? I always wash in public.

    8. When was the last time you played the clitar, dialed 9 on a rotary phone or spanked your monkey? I have no idea what any of that means?

    9. What's your favorite smell that others would consider weird? matches after they burn off, and leaves burning. Something about fires gets me I guess?

    10. What's your favorite adult beverage? diet coke

    11. Favorite old school cartoon? Roadrunner and the coyote!!

    12. If you won the lottery what is the first thing you would do with the money? Give my family money, my hubby can buy all the tractors he wants, and a little something for me!

    13. Have you ever fed a dog peanut butter just to see what would happen? I know what happens, and Annabell is so funny when it happens to her!!

    14. Favorite blond joke? I take offense to blonde jokes.

    15. Have you ever undressed Barbie and Ken and made them do it? probably but I really don't remember. I do not think I knew what doing it was until middle school.

    16. Did you know gullible isn't in the dictionary? Yes it is.

    17. Crappiest car you've ever had? My first car a red mustang, it did not make it at all!

    18. Most risque place you've ever done it? we lead boring lives.

    19. Most old embarrassing song that you just LOVE no matter what anyone thinks? Def Lepoard "Pour some sugar on me" MC hammer "Can't touch this"

    20. Ever puked out a car window? no

    21. Should I let D get an alpaca? I don't know what this question has to do with anything.

I had to clean this up a little but other than that it was a different meme!

    Lazy

I am lazy, and if you didn't know this, well now you do.
I have a hard time with self-discipline, self control, and well laziness. This has caused me to go up in weight, and down in brain cells. For the past 2 weeks, I have been really trying to lose some weight. I have been going to the gym, getting killed by my trainer, and trying to eat right! I have drank more water than I ever have!

What has changed? Nothing! I have not lost a single pound! It makes me so frustrated that I work so hard and nothing comes of it! I know it can not happen overnight, but if it did I bet more people would keep up with it!

But I have my trainer that says you look skinnier, and muscle weighs more than fat. That is the biggest baloney I have ever heard. 5 pounds of muscle and 5 pounds of fat are still 5 pounds!! They weigh the same!! I know he knows more than I do about physical fitness, but I want to lose weight! I do not want to stay the same weight and have more muscles!!

I want to be in a size 4. Ok lets be realistic a size 6 would be awesome! If I could get out of the double digits, and not lose my nice rack. That would be great!!
I don't want to be complaining but when you are lazy, you complain that stuff doesn't come to you easier.

    200

If you thought I was going to be talking about gladiators in loincloths, you are mistaken (oh wait that is 300.)
    Here is my 200th post!
I know that is should probably be insightful, witty, and memorable.
    Fireworks Pictures, Images and Photos
    But it will probably disappoint.
I can not believe that my life has that awesome that I got 200 posts out of it! It has been fun and exciting! I have met so many bloggers(not really met), that have a similar story to me, or something I want to achieve.
I can not believe that I kept up with it as long as I did. That is the amazing part.

    New Tricks!

I am learning new tricks all the time for this blog. I am getting the hang of making this blog look like I want it to look like. It is really hard to decide what I want, and I know I change my mind a lot. I got this great tutorial from JenieShell's Blog to make a button. What do you think?

I totally stole some of the images off photobucket, but when I find out how to make this without stealing images I will. If I get in trouble then I will take it down. I wish I knew how to draw this stuff.
My Creating Web Pages class is starting tomorrow, and I am so excited!! I want to learn everything there is about building my own web page, so I can get better at this blog! I know that I will never be one of those famous blogs that I love, but it is a start!
As you can see it is work in progress!

    My Valentine!!

    I love Valentine's Day!!
There is something about a day devoted to the one you love that gets me
feeling like I am going out on a first date with my husband.

My husband is the best at Valentine's!

I know some people do not like roses, but they make my heart swoon!

    I also love jewelry!

Last year on our first Valentine's as a married couple, I was so sick! Nothing is more sexier than coughing, mucus, and fever! He took really good care of me though!

This year we went out to dinner with our best friends, and we got to get all dressed up! It seems when you can have 2 hours to get ready, it always makes you feel prettier!

    My Valentine!

I hope everyone else had a great Valentines!!
