Fun in the Sun

I am sunburned! I thought I put enough sunscreen on! I went to my mother in laws to swim with my new niece and nephews.



My little niece is three yesrs old and too cute. I wish I had a picture of her. She was jumping in to my arms in the pool. After she would jump she would say, "I jump and you catch me because I a big girl. She melted my heart and her legs kept landing on my stomach and appendix. Her cuteness overruled my pain.

I really have not done anything great in the past couple days so today's blog is a little boring.

I have to go make my husband put aloe on me. That's about all the action he is going to get! Just kidding!

"Indiana Jones Movie Theme Music"

So tonight my husband and I went and saw Indiana Jones, and I loved it. My husband did not really care for it. But I have always been a fan of Indiana Jones, maybe because I had a older brother. I looked up to him a lot growing up and I liked everything he liked.

Well the real reason is I have a little girl crush on Shia Labeuf, he is such a little cutie and funny. I used to love to watch him in Even Stevens which was on a few years ago. Yes on the Disney channel but whatever, I liked it. I think he is hilarous!

I also organized my closet today, and took all my winter clothes and put them in the back bedroom. Oh and I also bought a whole summer wardrobe at Old Navy because they were having an awesome sale.

I still have some organizing to do, but thought I would blog. I got all weekend and Monday! No work!

A letter to My Husband

Dear Husband

I just wanted to write you and let you know what I am doing while you are away on business for the three days.

Right now I am eating Chinese food right out of the box.

I also have control of the TV remote, and I am watching all the reality tv I can stand. Amerian Idol is at its finale, and when you come home it will be American Idol free until next year.

Last night I loaded the dishwasher, but have not turned it on yet.


I also recieved my Victoria Secret items, and I need someone to tell me how they look.

Hurry Home! I miss you!

I hate thunderstorms!

I hate the anticipation of a thunderstorm, especially when they is a tornado watch along with it. I don't mind it during the day, because I can see where its going and how long it is going to last.

What I don't like is in the middle of the night and it is thundering. I don't like not being able to see it.

If it storms at night, I get up and turn on the tv and watch the radar. Where is Greg Fishel (the weather guy) at 1:00 in the morning.

Then my husband wakes up and says Come to bed, what can you do? You crazy woman!

Anyway then the storm goes by and I worry for nothing. I am just a worrier!

I don't understand weather anyway, all I know is if I see red or purple in the radar that is bad!

On a happier note: I got my ebay dress and I kind of thought this but when I tried it on its a little short. So I have some capris I can wear under it. Or I can wear it as a cover to the beach.

Here's the story:

My mema and I am just sitting in front of my mom's store. There is a table between us and glass panes behind us.
All the sudden we hear a loud bang and white stuff falling over us. It sounded like someone banged on the window. My mema and I were looking for where that noise came from.

Well I looked around and then finally noticed the bird on my purse.

MY BRAND NEW PURSE!!

The purse was about a foot away from my head too!

The bird could have landed on my head!

The bird flew into the window so hard it died on impact. Did I forget to mention that its deathbed was my purse!


So then my mema takes my purse and moves the bird to the ground. On my purse was all its blood. So my mema takes a water bottle and cleans off the blood, and tells me its fine.

No its not fine!

I need a new purse!

I can't even eat it makes me sick! OK lets not get crazy, I can eat.

But that dead bird on my purse!

Window Mistreatments

Ok. This is my first time ever putting curtains up. At The Nester, she does all kinds of window mistreatments. She is amazing at the window treatments. I hope mine can be just as good. Well I decided to try my hand at it.






I know they are not the best pictures, but they were taken on my camera phone. I don't have a camera that I can find.

As I was watching my husband put up the curtain rod, he was like you better not blog about this.
I may have put more work onto on him than he was ready for, but I will make it up to him.

He is leaving for 2 days for a job in VA. My mom is coming to stay with me for a couple days. Hopefully everything goes good and he doesn't over exert himself.

100 Things

I have seen this on a few blogs and since I am such a copy cat, I thought I would do it too! 100 things about me!

Yellow Fever!!

I got my yellow dress!

I got it on Ebay for $10.00!!!

It is going to look great at my shower I am hosting!

New things!

I got an email from VIctoria Secret, and since my husband hates that I wear mismatched bras and underwear. So Victoria Secret is having their semi annual sale and I decided to order some bras and panties.

One stipulation from The Grady is no white! Everything had to have color and some had to match.


I ordered this little number! I wish I had her body!

Oprah! Orpah!

So today is the last day of my sinus vacation. I tried to get off tomorrow but my boss wouldn't let me. Oh well!

The Grady(see previous post, husbands new name), had all the packing taken out of his nose. ****Warning Graphc Words ahead, may induce vomiting**** The doctor pulled out the stitching and then what looked like two used tampons out of his nose.

Ok I am done grossing people out.

So for the first time in about 2 years I watched part of Oprah today. I work monday through Friday and I miss it every day. So I made a point to watch it today. It actually wasn't spiritual or crazy but they had the girls from Baby Mama.

Side Note: Oprah has stopped exercising and has gained a lot of weight!!! The last time I saw her she was skinny. What happened? And she looks old! This might be old news but I don't get to watch her.

I tried to find pictures of the difference of Oprah, but couldn't!

Nicknames

I know that there are some people out there that read my blog and know my name and my husband's name. But recently I have been reading a few blogs and they have nicknames for their husbands and children. Well we don't have any kids and I like to give my husband a nickname.

I was thinking Grady because he works for a grading company.


I think that will work for now. I also changed my banner again. I love working with photoshop. I am also going to change the name of our blog name because its our last name and I don't like that. Sorry to be so private.

Finding Things

I got the invitation for the wedding today. I am stoked! I love weddings and everything about them. Free food, drinks, and dancing! How can you go wrong?

My Hubby is doing better today, gave him some tylenol PM to get him to sleep. People kept calling and coming by so it was a little relaxed but not that much.

Hush Little Baby

My hubby is asleep. Just went in to check on him and he was a little out of it.

I have a few things coming up this summer. I have one wedding, baby shower that I am hosting, and high school reunion(not sure about that) I have a lot of cute ideas for the shower. But I need outfits!

I like this dress and the color!



I also like this. And both of these dresses you can wear either to a wedding or reunion.


I still have a month until the shower. I need something a little yellow because I am doing a lemon theme. My SIL is not telling the sex of the baby or the names they are choosing. So its a yellow theme.

Cha Cha Changes

So I decided to change my background and I got a little tutorial from here. I thought it was going to be really hard, but I was wrong. I downloaded a free version of Photoshop because it is way expensive.

If I like photoshop for this month I may have to talk my husband into getting it. He would also have to get me a camera because I can't find mine.

I made the banner and that is actually our bedroom door. I like the blurriness of it.

My husband had his surgery today, and he is doing fine. He is sleeping right now and in a little pain. But I am here to take care of him.

When I went into pre-op this morning, I started to get a little emotional and definitely when they wheeled him away I almost started crying. But I believe God had his hand over him and he came out better.

But now my hubby is safe and sound sleeping away the pain.

Sinus Vacation!

Tomorrow my husband is going to have sinus surgery or I like to call a nose job. Don't tell anyone but he really hates his nose and the bump. He is going to the plastic surgeon. Just Kidding!

He is having all his sinuses scraped and his deviated septum fixed. Then his nose is going to packed with gauze for 2 days.



I can't wait til they take that gauze out and I can video it with my camera and put it on here. I don't think I could do that, but some of our close friends are getting it.

Well all that means is that I get three days off to take care of him. I will be his personal nurse. Kind of kinky!



No work! Yay! I can hang out with him, take naps, pop pills, watch movies!

My Name Is Marriage.

My husband and I were watching My name is Earl tonight. We love DVR. Anyway Earl got married and he had a few things that got on his nerve that his new wife did or didn't do. These actually correlate with out annoyances.

1. Earl had a eating style that was chip sandwich chip crunch, and he didn't want to share his chips.

I can't drink coke out of paper cups only sprite or sweet tea, it taste funny otherwise, But I can drink pepsi out of paper cups. My Husband thinks its crazy.

2. Earl's wife is trying to dress him in stuff that he wouldn't normally wear.

I try to make my husband wear what I think looks good on him, he thinks I am trying to humilate him.

3. Earl's wife does not give him any private time in the bathroom when he is peeing.

I always walk in on my husband while he is peeing. I mean we are married! I have seen him naked! Geez!

My husband was pointing at me during that whole point in the show.

Marriage is new and exciting. We have learned so much about each other in the past 3 months.

Ode to Momma

So today is Mother's day. This is the first Mother's day that I have two mothers. My momma and my mother in Law.

But this is to my momma. She has always been there for me no matter what. I love her.

When I was in kindergarten I was a latchkey kid, along with my brother. My parents worked and that is all they knew. But my mother provided for me like we were the richest kids in the universe.

She is absolutely the best mom. Yes she gives me lots of lectures on everything I do or ever done. Maybe that's the reason I was never a bad kid. Her spankings hurt but her words cut to the bone.

28 years ago today she was 7 months pregnant for me with a 16 month old baby at her side. I gave her complete joy when she birthed me all natural in an hour. Her screaming in pain and not being able to have drugs was probably the best moment in her life. When she gave birth to my brother she had the wussy drugs, so she didn't feel anything. I love that that was the reason I am the youngest.

My mother just gave me the wedding of my dreams even though she complained the whole time about how much it was going to cost. I love her.

She came from nothing and now owns a successful business with my aunt. They brought it from nothing.

I am not a mother but I don't want to be yet. I need to grow and mature. But when it happens, I hope it will be great. They can write a blog about me in 30 years.

Ok....I am testing my system because I learned a few new tricks. The one that I really wanted to learn was how to do a better banner with pictures and everything. Here you can find out how to link your words so that you can click on the word. Cool, right? At this same blog you can find a tutorial on how to do a banner for your blog. Some blog people are really secretive about this trick. But I found it. Now I just need photoshop.

Friday Friday

I love Fridays! I love being home and knowing I don't have to go to work tomorrow or the next day.

I am sitting here watching Racheal Ray and wishing I could make that good food and under 30 minutes. I tried before one of her recipes and it was more like 45 minutes. I think she preps her food.

My weekend is big fun we are going tomorrow to our niece's 3rd birthday. Don't tell her but I got her some shirts and shorts(lame I know), but then I got the Kelly doll, the sister of barbie. She is three now and the barbie age is 3 +. Its a little doll with a cupcake that says its your birthday. Then I got her a book that says Happy Birthday to You! She might not like it, she can't read yet.

Then we are celebrating Mother's day at Michael's mom. They are big into gifts. My mom just wants a card and that I love her. Michael's mom wants a pizza maker. That thing that spins and cooks your pizza. She is borrowing ours at the moment. Since we are not using because we are on a "diet"

My Laugh

My hubby cracks me up. As I am watching tv and reading funny blogs, everytime I laugh my head goes back as if I am looking up at the ceiling. No sound really comes out but my husband likes to call me Ray Charles Laugher.

My husband thinks I am crazy

So my friend is visiting this week its her time to come. I get very emotional about everything.

I just watched a commercial about moms. It was a sweet commercial about saying mom and at the end a guy was calling his mom to tell her that he had a kid and the wife was holding the baby saying I am mommy. It brought tears to my eyes. It was sweet.

I can't wait to be called mommy when I have kids. I don't have any now and I don't want any for a couple years. I can wait, from what I hear over at Ashley's Closet, it makes me not want them.

Non work day

My boss was gone today and I did nothing more than the average work. I did what I was supposed to do but that was it. And guess what tomorrow she is gone too, so no really fast clicking off what I am not supposed to be looking when she walks into the office to ask if it is busy or not. Well its never busy but sometimes I say its busy so she doesn't add more work and sometimes I don't because I need something more than the internet.

The girls in my department actually invited me to lunch today at some seafood place where I was definitely the youngest person by at least 10 years, and I know I am on a diet but who cares.

I try to tell my husband what to eat because I of course know what is good for him. Duh that is what he married me for, so I could tell him waht to do.

I made dinner tonight. A healthy one, I hardly do it but you know. I don't want our marriage to get stale after 3 months. I have to feed him or he won't buy me pretty stuff.

Here I go again on my own!

Ok so yesterday I tried to write a blog and it was really long and informative. It was funny and insightful. Anyway this is the shorter version.

My husband and I went to Myrtle beach with a couple friends to go to a concert. It was a great concert and we had a great time. There was a fight right beside us but none of us got hurt.

Later on that night we went to Broadway at the Beach and danced our booties off. Well Tiff and I did, the boys just watched from above.

We came home on Sunday and cleaned up the house a little and did the laundry. I love those weekends when you get to get away even if it is just overnight. We love to eat out and we always eat at the same places. So we went to some places we haven't been to.

Michael is having a sinus surgery next week so be praying for him. He is kind of worried because he has heard a lot of scary stories. I will make sure to take lots of pictures of what he looks like. Hee Hee!

Oh and we are going on a diet. The doctor says so. Its going to be hard because I love food and so does Michael.
