Panic and Hysteria

I was going to write about how I am really scared that our jobs are in danger, because both my husband and I work for some part of building houses and banks.

But since I really do not understand "The Big Bailout" I can't really go into why I am scared. Why does it have to be so darn confusing. The ladies at work today had me really scared talking about it over lunch. I was so scared, I had to call my hubby and ask him if we should take all our money out of the bank and bury it in the backyard. My husband calmed me down, and said the bank would cover up to $100,000.00 dollars. We by no means have even close to that.

But he reassured me.

So now all I have to worry my pretty little head about is who is getting kicked off "Dancing with the Stars". Which I hope is Kim Kardashian, because she can not dance for nothing. She has that big old butt, and she can not even shake it. I can shake it better than her. My husband probably wishes my butt was as big as hers.

Vacation Road Trip Part 2

The next part of our trip was to go to Nashville for the day. I had been there when I was about 12 so it had changed a lot. A and I wanted to check into the hotel and not have to move our car anymore.

Big Mistake!!

We walked probably a mile and a half at 12:00 noon on the hottest day to find a place to eat. We had heard there was going to some country concerts going on in that part of the town later that night. We got there about 4 hours too early.

So A decided she wanted some sushi. I love Chinese and Japanese food like the best of them. But I had only really tried California Rolls. She ordered a couple different sushi and I ordered Teriyaki Chicken(I know Original!) Then I decided under Angela's guidance to try Sake. Thank you Sensai!



Here is a little thing about Sake. It is like taking a warm shot of Vodka. Cold Vodka burns going down the throat, and when you add warm to that it equals Gross!!!! Angela liked it but I did not!! No more Sake for this grasshopper.

After eating we realized we had a few hours to spend before the concerts. So we called a cab, because there was no way we were walking back in the heat. Our makeup practically came off the first time!!

We went to the tourist shops and did what any tourist would do.




In Nashville, in case you did not know, they have 2 streets of just bars and tourist shops. So say at 3:00 in the afternoon you want to hear some live country music and have a drink. You can in Nashville.

This guy was great! Cute too! Hopefully we hear about him in a couple years on the radio.



We could not leave Nashville without visiting this place to make sure it was just like the movie.

All in all we had a blast! My friend and I were able to hang out, see new things, and make great memories!!!

We bought a new camera. It was such a good deal we could not pass it up. It was a Sony A100 dsrl. It was 75% off because it was missing the battery charger and it was a display.



I really like it! I need to learn how to use it. I think it will be great for when my husband and I have kids.



I always see photography blogs taking pictures like this. I really like how it came out.


I don't have any photography experience but I hope I can learn.

Vacation Road Trip Part 1

Here is a little bit of what happened on our Road Trip to Alabama. I decided not to fly because I am not crazy about planes. Although if anyone mentions that they would like to drive 12 hours. Don't!!! It is a long trip!!! We started out at 6:00 on Sunday night thinking that we were going to make it the whole way! Well we couldn't! We stopped in Atlanta at midnight, too tired to drive anymore. I was driving the whole way!! My friend A is not the best driver, but she knows it.


We left early Monday morning to finish our drive. The longest drive ever!!









But we finally arrived at the sweet baby's house! My beautiful niece "Sweet Pea", she is too gorgorues for words. Seriously my brother and his wife make one pretty child. It was worth the 12 hour drive in every way!



Those three days we spent seeing my brother, his wife, and niece. It was fun! I was so glad A came with me though. The only fun thing that we did was get our hair done.

Now usually I let my sister in law do my hair. I just get the normal cut. But I wanted highlights and it was spontaneus. I think it looks really great! My friend A has lost about 60 pounds in about 9 months. She looks really good. She got her hair done too!

10 years later!

My 10 year high school reunion was this week, but I didn't go to the main event. My two friends and I that graduated together decided just to go the old high school football game with our families.

Where are you Becky??

It so hard to believe that it was only 10 years ago that we were in high school. Now all of us are married, and some of us have babies! I don't feel like a grown up. I still feel like a young kid. The football game was the same with the same people that have gone since long before we were in high school.

There was only a few other people from our graduating class, and for the most part did not bring their spouses. Which seemed weird. I would not want to go back to a reunion without my spouse. It shows how much people have grown up when they get married and move on.

I saw some pictures from the big event on Saturday, and I am really glad I decided not to go. It just wasn't my thing. I like going back and showing my husband all the things that used to make me so happy!

I hate my DVR!!

My husband and I were out for the evening, and my stupid DVR did not record Grey's Anatomy!

How can I keep up with pop culture when my DVR messed up!!

Now I have to watch on my computer that is buffering and staticity the whole time!!!!!

It is a little late but I want to participate. I missed last week I was on vacation.

10 Things I believe in!

1. God: He created me and gave me life! He is the one true thing.

2. My Husband: I believe in him because he loves me absolutely, and he has truly shown me what kind of person I am through him.

3. Marriage: I believe that it is a great thing that God created. For a man and a woman to love each other and to separate themselves from their family to make their own.

4. Humor: You can not live life with out a sense of humor. I love to laugh and make people laugh. That is the best sound.

5. Work: I believe in working hard. I believe that every one needs to work, whether its a corporate job or taking care of your kids. Unless you are really sick or disabled.

6. The Bible, enough said!

7. Friends: Family is great, but there is nothing like people that you want to hang out with. Family you have to hang out with but friends you choose them.

8. Guitar Hero: Everyone needs to play this. Its fun and relaxing unless you are on hard and can't get through Welcome to the Jungle then its frustrating!

9. Playing: I love to have fun and play, no matter if its board games, crosswords, husbands. You have to relax

10. My mother: She can do no wrong, unless she is sleeping. If she is awake is the smartest, most beautiful women I have ever known. Dad's not bad either!

The worst sleepmate ever!!!

I love this person so much, and she has been with me since I was born. She is constantly taking care of me and putting up with my junk all the time. But this woman is not allowed to share my bed anymore!!

Yes Mother I am talking about you!!

You tried to butter me up by washing the dishes and cleaning out my sink with clorox. You even wanted to wash my clothes. I felt like I was living at home again and the world revolved around me. It was great!

Until you slept in my bed with me. I do not like to stay alone while my husband is gone, so I invited my mother over to stay with me. Next time I might try it alone!

She is the worst sleeper ever!! I knew that going in but I always think that this time it will be better! It's not!

She talks in her sleep, no scratch that she yells angrily in her sleep! She tells people off in her sleep. The first night she stayed she threw a pillow at my head. She likes to sleep diagonal on the bed with her feet in my back.

Did I mention she snores! All different kinds of snoring, loud obnoxious snores, soft constant snores, snores you think are over then they start again!!

On top of all that she can not be woken up for nothing! She is an incredible deep sleeper. I could kick her off the bed and she would not wake. Believe me, I wanted to do it!!

My mom doesn't read this, but she knows how I feel. She could tell by my grumpy attitude in the morning!!

My husband is home now, so I can sleep with him!

I know I am not a professional dancer but I know my cha cha, foxtrot, waltz, and the mambo from DWTS. I have the Wii game and I am awesome.

Dog Sleepers

My hubby and I sleep with our dog Annabell. She is really the sweetest dog in the whole world. She does not do good around strangers or other dogs, but in our heart she is our child. We say mommy and daddy around her. She may not know who we are but we can pretend that we birthed her.

My hubby had her about a year before I came into the picture. Let's just say she was not a happy camper when I came. When I moved in with my husband, she would eat my bra and panties if I left them on the floor. I don't leave them on the floor anymore.

But I had to get used to sleeping with a dog. My family has never been a pet kind of family. So I never knew that you could love a pet like a family member. Now I am not as crazy as my husband is about Annabell, but she is growing on me.

When my hubby and I get into bed she jumps up, and gets right between us. If we are cuddling and kissing, she is trying to get her little head right there.

By the time we are settled in bed she is usually against my back or my hubby's. She usually goes between us, and then settles at the end of the bed.

I love cuddling with her.



There was not a photographer in our house, in case you were wondering. We were pretending to be asleep.

I am so slow!

Ok I have been back for one day and I have not done anything. My husband is gone for three days, and he took my camera. So all the pictures that I have of my sweet niece I won't have for a couple more days.

I didn't think that on my trip I would get to see my husband before I got home. But I managed to make it home on Friday night to see my husband for about 8 hours before he left. Granted 6 of those hours we were sleeping, and my road trip buddy spent the night with us also. We had to be real quiet!!!!

He gets home on Tuesday night!!! Hopefully I will have something to talk about.

Back to work tomorrow!

I'm Back!

Now I am not surprised that Thelma and Louise took the car off the cliff, if I had to be in the car one more moment I would have done the same thing.




I will post pictures tomorrow, but now I must sleep and kiss on my husband!!!!

Date Night!

My hubby and I had a date night tonight before I leave. We will be gone from each other for a week and a half. When I get back from my trip, he is leaving for a trip with his friends. This is going to be really hard.


Don't look at my fat arms! Gross!

We went to a local place that we had not been to in a while, and now we are watching Psych. We love this show! It cracks us up! If you are not watching this you need to start. It comes on USA on Friday nights, but this is the season finale, so wait til next season.

Vacation All I ever wanted!

I am going on vacation!!!!

Without my husband!!!!

I am going to see my brother, his wife, and my new sweet neice. I have not met her yet, so I am so excited!!!

My best friend and I are taking a Thelma and Louise road trip, except that we probably won't be chased by cops or commit suicide. We could pick up Brad Pitt though, my friend needs a man.

But the bad thing is gas prices!! I can't believe that gas has gotten over 4 dollars!! I am not sure what it could be in GA or SC. Its going to be fun!! We are hanging out in Alabama for a few days, then going to Nashville TN.

I have not decided whether I want to take my laptop because I might just need a break from it. However I am taking my camera! You never know when you go into the Dirty Dirty South! I need to find my cowboy for my friend!

I am hoping that my husband goes to the gym while I am gone!! Our trainer gave us a hard workout today!! But I won't see him for a week!! Ha!

I found this new feature where you can follow blogs you like. I already have google reader, and that saves me a bunch of time. Now all my favorite blogs can know that I follow them. I am a blog stalker! I like to read the blogs, but I don't have time to comment on every blog.

I try really hard to comment on every blog but there are just so many!!

Edited to Add: If you have google reader and you start following blogs it updates all your blogs, so instead of going to each blog it updates all together. That probably doesn't make sense but try it!

Fringe

I love the TV show Lost, and I saw that the same creators were making a new show called Fringe. My hubby and I don't want to start liking a show midway through a season, like we did in Lost. I decided that we were going to watch this show from the beginning.

Every show I like from the beginning ends up getting cancelled, so I hope this one makes it through.

It also has Pacey from Dawson's creek.



It is a little weird, and it starts off just like Lost with a plane. Although it doesn't crash it gets pretty weird. Hopefully it won't be as confusing as Lost. I love Lost but there are so many questions, and crazy stuff that happens.

I guess this show Fringe will suffice until Lost comes back on. If it makes it that far!

I hate my trainer!

I went to the gym tonight and my arms, abs, and legs hurt!! You were so nice in the beginning! You may be cute but you are evil on the inside! You repeatedly make our arms feel like jello. If I misspell a word because I have no contro of my ands, and I can't tell if thy are writing the right word. Our personal trainer is a Tony Romo look a like, and from what we can tell a playa! Any single girls out there he would like your number!



But hopefully we will lose weight!

Commercials

I love TV, and lately there have been some pretty great commercials.

Commercials I love:

1. The Williams Sisters/Manning Brothers: The Double Stuff Racing League press conference commercial cracks me up every single time! My brother and I/My Sister and I. I love how they are all calm and then Eli Manning says "Stop Copying Us" at the end. Too Funny! This video has a little extra that isn't really funny.

4. Nextel: This is an old commercial but it is truly a classic. No words to explain.


Commercials I Hate:

There is only one commercial I hate and that is the Charmin Bears commercials. I do not want to sit and see bears with dingleberrys on their butt. I have never once thought that was cute. I am not even going to put the video on my blog. I do not want to know that bears use the same toilet paper that I do. What happen to the cute babies that are wrapped in toilet paper? Seriously I do not want to see Mama bear wiping the dingleberrys off with the broom!!

It's Over!

The hurricane in gone!! You wouldn't think that with all the extended coverage they are doing on it. The coast did not even do a mandatory evacuation!! The news gets so crazy when a hurricane comes. I know they can be dangerous especially if you live near the coast, but we live about an hour from the coast, and you would think we lived right there!

Even before Hurricane Katrina our state seems to think that the world has to be put on hold for a category 1 hurricane. I feel bad for the people that had their house flooded, and trees hit their cars. But we don't see those stories on the news. We see the stupid newscasters telling us how deep the water is, and standing on the beach as the hurricane is coming in.

I am sure there is a whole other blog post how the media trys to get everyone all hyped up over nothing!!!

We made it through the night, and do not remember a thing.

1. XM Satellite Radio: When I first started dating my husband, he had XM and I loved it. Its everything I ever wanted in radio that I couldn't get from old FM and AM. I get my pop, rap, talk, country, christian, and broadway musicals all in one, with no commercials. Ok there are some commercials but not like regular radio!


2. Bare Minerals Makeup: I first started wearing this makeup right before I got married, and I love it. I ordered it not knowing what my color was, but it ended up being perfect. I will never go back to regular old foundation!! The only regular makeup I wear now is eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick. This stuff is great!


3. Crossword Puzzles: I know I am a nerd, but everytime I see a blank one I have to try to fill it out. I can't do the really hard ones like the NY Times, but I have a lot of useless knowledge locked up in my brain.


4. Jodi Piccoult Books: These books do not last long in my house. I have to sit and read them all at once. They are that good!! I have only read a couple, but I have seen a couple of the movies also. She is a great author, and she is beating Nicholas Sparks in the book department.


5. Facebook: I seriously have to look at this every day!! I like to read about what people are up to, and look at their pictures. I know that I don't normally talk to any of these people, but it is nice to stalk them in secret.

Hurricane Party!!

Hurricane Hanna is almost here!! I just got off work, because my company does not understand the dangers of an approaching hurricane enough to let us go home early.

My sweet sweet hubby went by Food Lion and got the basic needs:

(3) 12 packs of Diet coke, (1) 12 pack of Sprite, (2) cases of bottled water and a loaf of bread.

We are prepared!

The bands of rain have already started coming in. The weather forecasters say this is perfect weather for tornadoes!! Boo! That means I will be anxious all night worried if somehting is going to blow my roof off. Hurricanes are not that bad, because I live inland about an hour and a half from the beach. We feel some effects from it, but not usually anything bad.

But we will probably end up going out to eat tonight. Why should a hurricane make us eat my bad cooking?

Battle down the hatches!!!

There's a hurricane coming!! The way people are reacting you would think that the world is ending. Schools are already getting out at 1:00 tomorrow.

I can't believe my job isn't getting off early. Stupid Kids!

We have one diet coke left, because I have not gone to the store this week. We have about 7 cans of ravioli, corned beef hash, and manwich. We don't have hamburger meat though. We have about 4 bags of stale doritoes. That should last us. I might need to get some diet coke or my hubby will go crazy.

This is really ruining my weekend. What kind of hurricane comes during the weekend. You can only enjoy it by getting to watch it at home on a Friday while you are missing work!!!

Boo!! I mean I don't want it to flood or throw a tree on my house or car. I just want everyone to think that it will so they will cancel everything!! I still have to be able to watch TV and blog.

I love all the hype and no results! Typical Southern States!

Writer's Workshop Wednesday:Write a letter to your 10 year old self

Dear 10 year old version of myself:

I want to start off by saying that as bad as you think your life is, it really is not that bad. Your parents are still together and they will be for the next 18 years. They may argue and throw things but they make it through the rough patch.

Just so you know you are the first person in your class to get braces. I know 5th grade is a little young, but you have some screwed up teeth!!!! Oh and if you think showing off your new braces for the school picture is cool. Its not!! I wish you would have worn your retainer also, but that's for the 13 year old version on yourself.

This year you get your first boyfriend. He may look a little dorky with big glasses, but just so you know he turns into a total California Hottie past puberty. Its really too bad he moves away to California when you are 12. But that's OK because you break up about a month after you start dating. BIG MISTAKE!! Not really!

This is your last year in elementary school, and you actually have lots of friends. That's because nobody is really not in any cliques in elementary school. Those start later when you are more awkward with your appearance, and everybody cares what you look like.

You hate school, and that does not end. You never become the honor roll kid, you don't finish college, and don't make six figures.

But here is the good news. After high school you get your heart broke a couple times before you find the love of your life. You get some pretty great friends that last a lifetime. You get the marriage and the wedding you have always dreamed about!!!

The best part....You finally get boobs!!!!! It may not happen for another 8 years, but it happens! You finally fill out those shirts.

So here are some things to remember as you grow on your way:

1. Don't worry about what people think, because you will never see any of those people after high school.

2. You will stop wetting the bed. (I was a late bloomer!)

3. Your parents love you even when they spank you. (You still got a couple years left of that. Sorry!!)

4. Beverly Hills 90210 is a great show but don't worry if you miss it the first time, it comes on again in 2008 in a new way.

5. Give your Papa hugs and tell them how much you love him as much as you can. He may not be around for much longer.


So here's to you 10 year old self. You should be playing with your dolls for as long as you can. But time does not stop for you!! You will be a well rounded, beautiful, and loving woman!! You may think that life is unfair, but it all works out in the end!!

New Blog

I changed my blog again, because I love this website. I have seen it on a few blogs, and its pretty!! I wanted something different.

My hubby and I joined a gym!!! I want to take before and after pictures like they do on celebrity fit club or the biggest loser, but my husband doesn't like that idea. He knows that I will blog about it.

He does not want everyone to see his sexy body. Hopefully when we get in shape I can show it off!!!

This is a big commitment for us!!! Its $65 dollars a month!!!

We need to get in shape and lose some weight!!
